Day of the Denk

Day of the Denk

A Poem by Thomas Reilly Thornhill
"

Denk is the sun Denk is the sea Denk is all Denk surrounding me

"
Yesterday Denk
Tomorrow Denk
Today is the day of the Denk

The Denk will surround, it will consume. She's the empty face in every room.
The Denk does not fear, she does not feel.
Denk will rise and she will raze.
Humanity shall perish with it's every breath carrying scent of she, Denk

Denk is all we know and love.
Denk breaks habits and bleeds out rabbits.
Consistent irrationality feeds every whim
She is soon and we are lost.

Gaia herself could not conceive such a creature
She is born of compassionate hate and endless exception

She is Denk, we are Denk, I am Denk.
You are soon.

Very poignant and imaginative in its images and delivery, especially in the third stanza which I really love. Certainly a piece to be proud of, Thomas.

The Denk as a force that exists in the universe, separately at first, but growing to, not consume, but become all . . . I'm not sure whether to consider it dark, or deep, or insightful, but it is indeed clever. Well done!

You may have crossed historical fact with myth. If that is the intention, than my hands clap. If not I still enjoyed this.
