Arabesque

Arabesque

A Poem by Kristan A. Mohammed
"

In the mind of an Arabian belly-dancer.

"

I, was born, to dance, to entertain.

All, eyes fixed, upon, my dreams.

As, the beat I breathe, energized me.

The, rhythm I need, rewrites me.

Seven veils, of deadly, sweet sin.

I wave, before your lust.

I smell, of sweetened, Arab grace.

Bind my body, my taste, your trust.

I will gyrate my shackled waist.

I am but, an unbroken vase.

Splinters, scattered, in every place.

Bow, to me. Bite, my dust.

Praise, my feet.

Oh, you fools, my dears.

Read, the words, of my demeanor.

Make me, your Qur’an.

Make you, my believer.

Let your eyes dance with me.

Gyrate.

Gyrate.

Gyrate.

Gyrate.

Gyrate.

Bow before me.

Laud my wonder.

Your desire.

Our Arabesque fire.

At first when I read it I thought your intentions were to make people follow you, as if you are God and their Koran. But then I read your description, keyword: bellydancer ;)

I t is therefore I loved the message behind your poem, stemmed from intelligent analysis and careful observation. I think the most beautiful belly dancers, I'm talking ones with those perfect curves legs and feet and just the perfect amount of flesh etc have this exhilarating effect on men as though performing hypnosis. Many weak men would probably and readily give up their religion and wife for that seductive belly dancer for that 30 minutes of testo surge and fantasy of having a one night stand.

In other words, your poem demonstrates a beautiful beautiful wicked twist and a very deep metaphor based on reality..where a belly dancer becomes a goddess and eventually she becomes aware of her dominating effect on men their minds bodies and spirits..she owns them and knows it very well..as her sexy body and luscious moves captivate their minds..it is as if she has become their new religion replacing God and their Koan..the belly dancer has become their new God..

I love it man and know some guys who were addicted to such temptations that they lost their wives..it was pleasure reading it!

Thanks a lot. I'm so glad u understood and enjoyed the meaning of this one.
The music started playing before I'd even realised it was there, and to tell the truth I really enjoyed reading the poem in tandem with the song. A particular stand-out for me is the 'gyrate' sequence, hypnotic! Keep it up!
