Would You?

Would You?

A Poem by Krisen Lison
"

So tell me mother, would you even care?

"

If I dive right off the cliff

And smash my head

Upon the rocks

Would you cry mommy?

If I slit my own wrists

And slowly died

In pool of blood

Would you miss me mommy?

If I vanished with a trace

And never ever

Came back home

Would you search for me mommy?

If I went crazy

And ended up in

A padded room

Would you hold my hand mommy?

If I died of a broken heart

Slowly suffering until

I dwindled away

Would you blame yourself mommy?

I hope and pray the answer

Will be forever yes

But sadly I feel

Right now it’s no

This is heartbreaking! Having worked with children who have been rejected, abandoned and abused by their own parents, this poem brings back so many memories.
A Beautiful poem.
