A Thought Repainted

A Thought Repainted

A Poem by Laura Sui

What happens to a thought repainted?
Does it bleed through
like a marker dipped in water?
Or melt in the sun
like a slowly dying daughter?
Does it crack like desert rock?
Or harden and hide out
like a pad lock?
Maybe it just fades
like a vintage sketch.

Or does it rip and stretch?
