Past lovers

Past lovers

A Poem by Lauren

The figure takes shape of a girl
a girl whom should not speak

her hands tangled within the sheets
her feet kicked out to the sky

hair falling to the surface like a birds feathers retiring
warmth of blood through her veins simmer with coldness
hers eyes departure from the light of the world
to the cold void beneath

arms writhed around her
so desperately trying to feel the spark
but as the arms fall like rocks

the eyes of another sees exactly whats laid out front

A figure of a girl whom must not speak
her hands by her side
but her legs tucked beneath
her wooden bed lowered

as her past lover grieves
