Tattoos

 

 

Numbers stenciled boldly....swollen.

Collected possessions....stolen.

Stars stitched; the symbolic....defined.

Scars above stain beneath....defiled.

Prejudicial regime....enraged.

Interned; freedom taken....encaged.

Branded cattle slaughtered....horrific.

Numbers penciled coldly....statistic.
