Cracks Like the WavesA Poem by Lesley WoodSharp, piercing grain of sand infiltrates my oyster brain...
Sharp piercing grain of sand Infiltrates my oyster brain. The pain, the horror! This shell may crack again. How so I fall? I can fall with style- I can crack. I can mend. I can crack. I can mend. My face cracks like waves Against these rocks. My life, these rocks, Crumbling away. What will remain? Grains of sand to infiltrate Other lives, other brains? Is it all just Dust to Dust In this Great Circle of Time or Life? Where is the time? When is there time? Where is MY time? I must surf these waves in style; I need to flip, I need to glide, I need to hang ten, man.
