Giving of Yourself

This poem is about putting yourself out there.

Trying something new
always leaves me in a tizzy.
I never know if I am sharing too much
that'll leave me vulnerable;
open to criticism
that'll create a cataclysm
in my heart.
But perhaps the growing
is in the sharing
and caring and love seem to follow.
I'd rather take the leap
be swallowed
by love
rather
than
wallow
in
what
could
have
been.
