The Very First Peace

The Very First Peace

A Poem by Lindsey

I'm laying down,

On a wooden rise,

Wating after school ended.

No one around just me and the wind.

I'm staring up,

At two large trees,

Dancing with the blow of winds.

The sun is shining through the green of the leaves,

Through the trees joined branches of solitude.

There is no sound,

But the blowing of leaves,

And the humming of the birds,

No smell,

Accept that of the beauty surrounding me.

No people,

No noise,

No pain,

No fear.

For the very first time,

Pieace.

I am looking through the narrator's eyes, feeling the sun-warmed wood on my back, I see the trees, feel the wind...........I am right there with you. Wow.
