Puffy Eyes

This was a quick one I made after I came home after school. I was struck with one line and then just continued from there, each line feeding off of the other.

It's here again,

that feeling,

that feeling of your
whole body sighing,

a profound relief,

a beautiful sadness,

everything inside
drained out
through your shoes,

replaced with a
soft coated blankness

swollen with evaporated emotions
looping and drifting into themselves,

glazed eyes
looking out but staring in,

the weight of the world
tugging you down

until drugged with sleep,

you click off.

Nice poem.Got to say I have led a happy,fulfilling life without religion and cannot for the life of me understand how religion can cause so much strife all over the globe.But hey ho,each to their own I guess.Keep up the good work.

Without God, all I have to worry about is living my life to the best and the fullest and trying not to mess up or hurt anyone else up until the day I die. WITH God, I have to do all those things and more because if I mess up and I'm not nice enough, or I do something too wrong, or I don't follow all those rituals and practices he's so fond of, I will burn forever and ever and ever in a lake of fire. Yeah, that's a lot more stress and unneeded worry to add to a life that is already full of stress and worry. The idea that you could be punished FOREVER for the mistakes that we make in our short mortal lives doesn't sit well with me either.

Christianity is a lifestyle not religeon Jesus paid the price for our sins and his commandments to us is to love our neighbor as we love ourself.Many church's don't even have a relationship with God and lead many astray.Only God through Christ can forgive our sins not any church or padre,pray for guidance for your decisions in life nobody is without sin,but jesus died so we could be reunited with God
