Words Spill

About to open the door
into another world
she writes the final page of her story
frail hands shaking with destiny
there was a time life surged
when she summoned it
a time when tulips bloomed
and organs played lilting melodies
now like a bird poised
to take flight
at precisely the moment
her inner calendar dictates
she will fly
unafraid
I take odd comfort in knowing
this is what she wants
like my tears
words spill into my poem

This piece resonates deep within my heart and soul. Tears fall as I feel the emotion in each word. I lost my mom three years ago as well, and miss her every day.

thank you once again, Raven. Lydi**
This is such a sad beauty my friend, the Tulips, with it gave me the feeling, well you know what kind of feeling... she lives so beautifully through you Lydi, no doubt about that, and that's a very strong thought to hold on to. You live further, breathe further, with her inside of you. Don't be sad, celebrate her this way, my friend. For all you do shall live through your children, and grand children too... Such a lovely pure sentiment, the circle of life... thank you for sharing this. It really touched me.
