shangri-la

shangri-la

A Poem by Lydia

artwork by hessam abrishami

a languid afternoon dallies

just long enough to find its poetry

fingers hover wistfully

circling till the right keystrokes are audaciously unclothed

a kiss blown from the upturned palm of a cagey muse

sequesters concepts

scattered like leaves in the gutter after a rainstorm

a whispered fantasy’s warm breath

gives way to frenzied utterings

and once again i’m transported to shangri-la

This is so beautiful Lydi. A day where lines like these are delivered is always a good day. I especially like the line about the cagey muse, that line is just...well, it's worth the admittance price alone :)

Wow! This is something many of us on WC experience in our creative searches and our interactions with those we come to admire, and sometimes adore. So beautifully told with your usual amazing picture Lydi.
