Prologue

Prologue

A Chapter by WarriorofDeath2.0

In the land of Mythrine, there lived the main forms of life: Elves reside in the dense
forests, Giants in the dividing mountains, Men are scattered throughout the north
and east lands, and the dragons, though most thought them extinct by this time,
hidden from sight. All was peaceful there until a sinful apprentice magician who
called himself Saegis, began to draw dark power to himself, which he combined
with his own through heinous rituals to become a dark sorcerer of great and
unthinkable magical strength. Though many tried to defeat him, including his own
mentor, all failed and eventually succumbed to his awesome power. Over many years,
Saegis' evil shadow covered and suffocated Mythrine and it's people. It was only when
a group of five elder wizards of equal power gathered at the foot of this dark lord's tower
and banished him that he was finally beaten. Their victory was short lived however, as
Saegis was only defeated not completely destroyed. He started to gather power again
and forced his unholy servants hunt and kill the wizards who banished him until only Dracio,

the wisest, and most powerful of the five, survived. For many years he went into hiding while
Saegis's shadow crawled over Mythrine again. He had hoped that a warrior of faith would
emerge to overthrow the dark lord for good. That hope wasn’t needed as a hero was already
born but no one knew it yet.

Author's Note

WarriorofDeath2.0
I know its short, even for a prologue but I have trouble extending stories that I feel don't need to be.
