Nothing Better to Do

Nothing Better to Do

A Poem by Matt G

Sat bored so I wrote something.

I sit here not knowing what to write,
I sit here wondering if that's alright,
Sitting in this chair listening to the conversations around me,
To "net sales" and "hating males" and "does she like me?"
Noticing all the little things it astounds me,
What human beings are,
What they aren't,
It's like a lifting of a fog that was blinding me,
It doesn't matter about our careers or language we speak,
Our cars, our skin, the brightness of our teeth,
We are all the same to a level of degree,
Anyway, that's what I see.

Once again, I just love the last line to this. You have a perfect way of ending your pieces so it just... ties everything together. It fits, and flows great.

I write incredibly infrequently. Often get distracted by responsibilities at work and abandon writings. I apologize if I abandon something you are enjoying. more..
