Love is blind

Love is blind

A Poem by Maxwell Ryder

I loved life's metaphors until I met a w***e who loved people, fed the poor, cared more than anyone I had ever loved or adored. She opened a door and found my hypocrisy beating, and her smile polished my sooted heart, as I spread her legs and promised never to part. I tucked her soul in mine, gave her a child she raised to be kind; and carried her mission forward, of love is blind.
