When I find you

When I find you

A Poem by Meraki

Someday
You'll find me
As if I've been waiting
Patiently for you to arrive
But we both know I've been anything
But patient

Someday
I'll find you
As if you just happened to be there
Happened to walk into my life
As easy as walking down the beach
Or into a coffee shop
A gas station

And someday
When we find each other
Maybe we can finally
Help ourselves fill that hole
The one we've convinced ourselves doesn't exist
Find pieces of ourselves in the other
That grateful relief running free

But only when I find you
And you find me

Honestly one of the few poems I'm genuinely feeling a little insecure about.

Never feel insecure in your expression. We do not write to be great, we write to express, we write for ourselves, we write basically to bleed. I loved this poem, anyways. Tender and sweet and very raw, full of longing you seem to want to hide. It's so natural, to want a person. Never feel ashamed to express it. Great work luv :)
