They Say..

They Say..

A Poem by MetBySunlight

Kids my age say love is a joke

But they rushed and let it choke

Whine and complain,

Love is not humane

But I laugh and tease,

Because love is not an unfaithful disease

It's something special, something powerful

Personally, I find it beautiful.

But they say since I'm only sixteen,

I don't know what I'm saying

And maybe I am too young for love

But my favourite bird is in fact, a dove

Filled with freedom, filled with grace

Who wants to be tied down in a race?

So slow this pace down, like they say

I'm only sixteen, but he makes my day.

It made me smile in the end :D It is true what you say that people rush into love so easily and then complain when things go wrong, like it's all "loves" fault that thier relationship ended. It was really cute and i loved how everything rhymed! Also i'm sorry that i took a while to read and review it1
