I know my place, Sir!

I know my place, Sir!

A Poem by MoriartyMesa
"

Making sure everyone knows where to stand and think.

"
Take his coat,

take her hat,

remove her jacket or so help me you will feel the back of my hand,

Now hand them their ticket and try not to mess it up.

Your thinking and asking yourself; "who is this guy to order me around?"

Well let me tell you my son, but straighten your tie,

pull up your socks,

tuck in that shirt,

for Christ sake make your self some what presentable.

Now you wanted to know who I am,

a man askin with dirty and unclean finger nails,

a three dollar tie and a gas station body spray, and you ask

who I am?

Before I tell you, notice my shoes,

shine crystal do they not,

you have a cheap drug store wrist watch,

where my time piece has a gold chain and keeps time.

What you have sir is something as cheap as your smell,

and you really want to know who I am?

I keep order,

I keep the clients and guests happy,

I keep time,

I keep watch,

I keep the Political Life from falling to the dust of everyone here,

I use the stick,

the bank accounts,

photos,

phone call records,

emails,

texts,

and every single dumb thought that come across our.....................

Masters mind's.

But more important is knowing what I know,

I have placed my self here,

this is my place.

I am Mr. Francis J. Underwood.

I just dont know my place,

I made it.

Intriguing write. Not able to say if you did justice to the character since i don't know this show, but the presentation and the powerful voice kept me scrolling down. :)

Haha... I hope you have seen the original series but this is a great write in tribute to Spacey's portrayal. Fans will love it.

Now that was an AWESOME tribute to the Congressman and puppeteer. I enjoyed the poem all the way through, then that last stanza was just gold and made the rest of the piece all the better. Excellent write sir.

I've never seen this show. But I feel like I can get a good idea of what this character is like by your description. Sounds like a powerful, confident man for sure.

Well, that was an interesting read. I did not really understand it, but I read it out loud and it sounded good.
