Double Cross

Double Cross

A Poem by Mr. Lopez

My inspiration had been taken
Unjust, improper, untrue
Interpretation is an evil nation
But what's a man to do

You watch your stride
You run , you hide
But this time
Not no more

I'll put my chin
Into the wind
And fight
Forever more

Believing something under false pretenses and being stabbed in the back are two things that can be hard to reel back from. You express the thought process well and create a positive message in light of the subject; defiantly rising back to your feet. I think most everyone can hear where these words are coming from. Thank you for sharing!

The title and the length of this piece suit each other perfectly I think. The double cross, a punch to the gut, and the writing style is punchy too, quick and to the point, just like the slap in the face that any double cross feels like.
We can't let those double crosses change who we are, that would just be the same as surrendering to them.
Keep fighting the good fight and keep that chin out, defying them to try aiming another blow at it.
As always, capturing a thought perfectly and giving it your own unique beat.

I feel like it could be longer (maybe post an extended version), but besides that I really like it.
