Is this one sided love? Is this how love works? Answer me. I am lost.

Is this love?

Feeling nothing anymore?

Feeling empty inside?

Feeling deserted?

Where are you?

Is it you who keep pouring water on me?

Why am I drowning?

Are you pulling me down?

I feel your presence but

Why do I feel alone?

I hear your voice but

Why is it fading?

It's getting dark.

Why is the light fading slowly?

I will wait for you here patiently.

Promise me you will come back.

Promise me you won't leave me.

Promise you still love me.

You convey so well a distance between the two, and the pain that comes with unrequited love. As you hint in your poem, the unanswered pleas foretell a sad ending. Love's hope is often all we have, so we hold it dearly. Great work on this one. Thanks for sharing it.

Oh the struggle of unrequited love you capture so well in this poem. Or is it that there was a love, however it has now run cold? Either way the longing is the essence of this poem in my humble opinion and it leaves the reader something to think about. Cheers on a good write!
