Another New Year

 

Just look at all those pinched faces

in all the wrong places

Wide eyed and with so much to fear

 

With frost in the air and no pennies

 to spare

Each praying for a happy New Year

we pinch pennies....they pinch their faces because they have no pennies to pinch...

this ice cold weather makes me think of those without roofs over their heads...without a warm bed to sleep in....we are told to stay in....while there are those who have no "in" to shelter them.

This is what new years felt like this poem summarizes my own thoughts. There were many personal tuff lessons this year but theres always someone who has less than you and everyone is hoping if not working towards better.

but there are even more people who spend pennies they don't have and end up with the same pinched faces.
