A haiku and no messin.. the only difference being this one can be applied to either a his or her depending on.. well all sorts of things really

Personal Gain

 

Not bound by rope nor by chains

Though bound by h** greed

And quest for personal gains

Author's Note

Although this haiku may be applied to either of the two most common of today's multi sexed/gendered individuals, I have deliberately not applied the mature warning tag for fear of upsetting any other gendered individuals and the associated risk of being sued.... N

sad but often the case.. nothing wrong of course in wanting something, it is at what cost, I think that matters and who might suffer along the way.... N

You have such great insight, pertaining to the problems associated with choosing one over the other. This is a great haiku that gets the message across, greed knows no gender, to the reader.

Smart move, re your comment. I just play it safe too, by calling everyone it.
I always like original writing and I have never seen h** used before, although I have seen huh?¿?'s in my time. (we are not known for our political correctness round these here parts) but I am all for less labels, not more. But it will happen. Everyone now seems to want a label to define them. Which is fine, as long as they dont expect me to join in...or care :)
I never use this word lightly Neville, but that h** has seriously impressed me...and annoyed me a little for me not thinking of it, so thanks a bunch :)

Plenty of bloomin relationships formed on the basis of what can I screw the other for. Bound by greed and quest for personal gain. Please note I didn't check my husband's bank account to see what he'd got before I agreed to marry him (lol). There is enough material in this haiku to write a book Neville, but I won't bore you with that. Laughing at your author's notes, but would probably get ticked off by the pc brigade. I can take it.
