Bladed Bridge

Bladed Bridge

A Poem by Nick Keys

Bladed Bridge, silver lined regret,
Crucifix, corrupted fixes to a repairable medium,
Nyx, mother of the Night, tight and wound up with stress,
Blood stained sons and a shining sun weeping sleeping with/out,
In some hysteria, Insomnia-
Crown of thorns torn forming palm leaves from dreams,
Down-forever, rising up-forever,
Waiting forever-Fate, too late, to matter, to flatter,
Appearances of falsified prophets,
Disappearances of falsified prophets,
Suffered, Died and Was Buried,
Third Day-Unknown Way,
Two thousand Years of 'I may'-'I say'
Whatever the book,
Whatever the truth,
Forever the book,
Forever the truth,

Kill the shrill abandoned mills composing thrills under the sheath of a bladed bridge,
Sitting still awaiting the expected fulfillment of false goals and green ridges,
Fishing with baited holes stripped off by hunger and starvation,
Wishing-some things will change, the rain-bloody chains and ranges of pain and sensation,
