The explosions were deafening and the vibrations felt as if the world were caving in.. the sight of smoke and dust made visibility impossible.. A odor of black powder and rust from the overbearing amount of blood... The sounds of screaming and sirens going off drowns out everything and suddenly everything becomes a blur……..

2 weeks prior

Chapter 1: - "Det.O'Donnell!" , homicide detective of division 6, "why is it everything never makes sense?" The look of ill covers his face as he sees captain Ortega enter the room."O'Donnell , I'm not happy with anything, 8 people have died in 2 days and you have nothing to show!" "Figure it out!", "Find the b******s who did this!". The spray of spit leaving his mouth was enough to show his point. "I need you to step up and do your job O'Donnell, if you don't improve I'm going to have to transfer you to another department." The fury sets in and the animosity builds as if the grand opening of a class film is about to begin. "I've worked for your department for 6 years Ortega, how can you just up and transfer me like I'm some rookie, I've been trying and can't figure out who's involved, absolutely no leads on this case just random missing personnel and a vehicle description, not very much to work with." , "well I'm putting det.fray on duty to work on this case with you so you better figure it out, I'm done having to explain to the press why I have you poking around and nothing to show, I need more O'donnell, make it happen." Slamming the door leaving Dead silence....

Detective tommy fray, sits in his smooth leather couch and pours himself a glass of vintage Bruno Giacosa wine. As the phone rings , it reads unknown name. “Hello.” Fray answers, “Tommy, it's done.” A dead dial tone fills his ear. Satisfied with what he's heard the beginning of his plan has now been put in progress. Let's the wheels start to turn he notes to himself and sips on his “liquid gold”.

Captain Ortega receives a phone call ending with a blank face followed by a fist through the drywall , “sick of this, these phone calls must stop!” He screams. He steps out and yells to the office full of personnel , “all extra staff head to the Downtown preschool, there's been a attack!”. “O’Donnel take lead on this case, find out what sick-minded freak did this to the children!” O’Donnell just nodded and ran and thought, this is the end…

The debri was awful, bodies everywhere and not even the slightest of recognition of Boy or girl, just limbs of burnt flesh. This horrific scene will bring nightmares for endless days O’Donnell thought. How could someone do this , these poor children didn't deserve this. Somethings in this world will never make sense. “Detective look out!” A late bomb goes off sending a piece of shrapnel at the head of a forensic analyst Spitting blood in a stream. The ringing from the blast is unbearable, someone's shouting but there's no response. Running toward the scream behind a roof panel is a little girl screaming “make it stop!” , “mommy where are you!”. O'Donnell quick removes the panel careful to not hurt the child, the adrenaline shoot through and quickly grabs her covering her face from the smoke. “Don't worry I'm gonna save you, everything's gonna be OK.” he promised. OK, is it OK, is everything OK or is it the beginning of the end. When O'Donnell reaches the hallway, a flash fire spits out of a window and torches the remains of once was a beam, what's left standing of the structure that once was a preschool is creaking with Such a riotous shrill that pierced every part of the ear down the spine. Please, he thought, father god help me get this child out. When he sees the fire slows the power run of adrenaline kicks in and the sound of sirens and voices are closer, safety. Nothing was more satisfying to O'Donnell then saving her life, but the horrible feeling settles of defeat of knowing only one child lived this horrid catastrophe. Revenge, he thought, I will get these sick criminals no matter what. A homicide scene controls officer approaches O'Donnell, “the child's been taken to into care, thank you, nobody expected the blast to strike and the specialist says cause of event was premeditated and terrorist-related”. Of course, O'Donnel thought , quick to make excuse for a disaster, this was no terrorist, it had executive mafia written all over, too clean he thought, in and out without a single witness to see. Inside operation written in red and revenge is what was needed and revenge will be seeked, he noted….

CHAPTER 2- The stack of paperwork was horrific on detective frays desk as he approached, captain Ortega’s voice filled the room, “welcome back from vacation fray, everything has hit the fan and I need you and det.O'Donnell to work together on the preschool case, I need something solid fray, don't let me down.”ortega said. “you know I am here to help you captain”. Fray convinced. Ortega grunted and walked away exhaling the extra air he always seems to find when in the I'm sick of the world and its people attitude. After hours of dull paperwork files, calls leading to dead ends, and 3 dark roast black coffee cups later detective O'Donnell walks in. “Late rise O'Donnell”? “Actually no, just figured would swing through the pharmacy and pick up my medicine, after arriving on the preschool a late c4 went off nearly leaving me blind and deaf”. He sat and winced at the pain shooting up his spine. “Well sorry buddy, at least some good news on a lead.”,”got a mailman who says a black van posted outside roughly early morning of the preschool, white male with moustache and blonde hair, positive I.d. on a tag from a nearby ATM so let's go pay a visit what do you say”. Fray asked. “Yeah, we got nothing so hopefully this gives us a one-up, we need it desperately.” O'Donnell said and headed for the door.

Neighborhood of misty oaks, pulling up to a light brown home, sits a black van and a white van. Approaching the home detectives eye one another as a confirmation on what they are about to do. Repeated banging on the door is followed by silence, absolute no noise from the other side of the door. Just another dead end O'Donnell thought. The door suddenly creaked and a older Italian man answers “hello”, “can I help you”. The strong Italian accent let O'Donnell knew this is gotta be him, black van, and Italian. “What is the cause of this, do you have a warrant!?”. He yelled. “No we just had a few questions, will you cooperate”. Fray asked. “No!” , the man slammed the door and the sound of locks turning gave O'Donnell the answer he was looking for , another dead end. Baanggg! , the gunshot came from inside. O'Donnell and fray both kick and move in with guns drawn turning each corner to find that the fat Italian man just blew his brains out in his own kitchen. “God damn, what the hell, call for backup”. O'Donnell said and checked for a pulse. Dirty b*****d, how can the preschool bomber get away this easily. Anger arose and he started tearing the house apart looking for any clue. Nothing, house is spotless, no furniture and brand new. How could this happen O'Donnell thought. With scene officers arriving followed by paramedics and forensics, O'Donnell steps out and catches a deep breath, the last couple days have been more than he could fathom. As he looks away at the neighbor's yard he sees a pamphlet sticking the dashboard of the black van, checking the lock, it's unlocked and reaches for the pamphlet and a card falls out. It reads hotel 91 @ 11. O'Donnell puts the pamphlet in his pocket and walk back to the side door where fray stands talking to a analyst, “we have nothing here fray, I'm going to head back to the headquarters and type a memo and incident report of what went on”. “Call me if you hear anything else”. O'Donnell said. “Will do”. Fray replied. O'Donnell went his separate way with every intention of what he said, his idea of captains parter was ludicrous and he had to do this just like the beginning days of his career, alone.no rookie to get in the way, except one stop, hotel 91. Revenge is near O'Donnell processed it over and over like a phone number, revenge is near.

The news plays the horrific scenes over and over, “...believed to be mass bombing targeting children and innocent people, police are determining the motive behind these terriosm acts of violence we will keep you updated back at the studio……”, TV shuts off. The aroma of black powder fills the air and stench of rot, Robert Lynn ,Suddenly feels a liquid pouring on his face and the foul gas aroma suddenly makes him light-Headed. “You’ve owed me for a long time Robby”. The voice states. “Maybe when I'm done with you I'll pay your wife Rita and little Hannah a visit, huh, what Do ya think.?!”.. The sounds of liquid stops pouring and a flick-sound brings pandemonium to life. The flames sorch with extreme heat blasting to feed off the soaked liquid, the skin blisters away and faded memories of once was a moment flashed by the second. Intensified paid shoots through and life drifts away and everything goes pitch black….

Firefighters intercept the incoming distress of a building call and act immediately, preparing within record-breaking time, precision and accuracy take tole. The trucks leave and head toward the destination in matter of minutes. The scene is horrific and rising in flames and collapsing quickly. The putty is placed on the back of the c4 and placed to the underneath of the manhole drain top, the opposite lies the middle of the truck that holds any help to the disaster above. Following the ladder deeper below darkness is only split in segments where the sewer line separates from the cold pitch black background, slowly making away the c4 is engaged and a sort of double-take emerges. “What am I doing, what if I die, oh god why am I doing this.” The mental state is overbearing with pressure, almost as if someone were twisting one ear and pulling the other. The plan must evaile , the struggle continues until the break of the tunnel, fresh air brings the flashback of the torture back. Wincing to the jerk of spasms from the flashback tightens the grip and the c4 switch turns. He looks down and gasps with the thought of for the first time and freezes, guilt.

Arriving on scene of the on call off the warehouse building on fire Det O'Donnel pulls to park beside the crown Victoria police cruiser blocking the road when suddenly a earth shaking sound fills the area and the fire truck explodes straight to the front and shooting to the side engulfed in flames. The sight froze O'Donnell , det.fray yells to O'Donnel “ move and get down , I'll call for back up!” . O'Donnel was just froze in pure shock.how could someone make a distraction for a attack , were they trying to prove a point, how many people will die. The incident are impossible to O'Donnell, as he reaches down the firfighter truck gas tank explodes and shoots metal in hundreds of directions, a quick strike rips odonnell’s forhead with force to stumble him.just trying to focus on everything sent the world in a spin and fuzzy vision of the disaster that just took place … “det.O'Donnell!”.......

CHAPTER:3- The Executive Mafia, solely known for there reputation based on having no tolerance when it comes to anyone that stands in their way, with vast members and reckless actions, this deadly organization will kill any moment notice showing no remorse. Leonardo Abelli, a very powerful man, some rumors and top police investigations haved Leo claimed to be the alleged Leader of this dangerous organization. “Leo, we have witnesses who have allegedly claimed to know your illegal trade wearhouses, where are the women Leo?,we need to know if these allegations are true.” The detective asked. “Never been involved in anything remotely like that officer uh, what's your name again?.” Leo smirked slightly while belittling the officer, he knew he had nothing on him and it was just another day of accusations but no hard evidence. “Lawrence, officer Lawrence…..” Lawrence was cut off, “if you got anything to ask, ask my lawyer buddy, lance regal is his name!”. Leo preceded to walk away. The officer was overwhelmed with anger, “I'm gonna catch you slippin’ you filthy scum!”. Leo was laughing in his mind as he walked down to the elavator shaft, approaching the garage, lies a sleek bulletproof rolls Royce lemo awaiting his Entrance. He enters and flips his phone to speedial , “Frankie, its Leo, we got a problem, I need a officer Lawrence kinda young you know, I need him followed and touched let him know this is Abelli territory and have no mercy.” Leo said. “Consider it done father”. Frankie promised and the dial went dead. Enters the keys and the engine roars to life followed by a screeching beep , all Leo could process was heat and the sound of metal being blown to millions of pieces ending one of the most dangerous boss mob life leaving a organization of family who would not take this death lightly. Ambulances get the call and respond on green ave , from the anonymous caller the description of the parking garage is known as at least 3 levels collapse and debry and injuries unknown.

Chapter 4:
Frankie Abelli, the son of one of the top known organized crime leaders in our time. The message received was not a surprising message, knowledge of this day did exist in the worst nightmares that now come to life in reality. Many will die, is all Frank could process for hours in disbelief that his father's life was taken without warning. Very few were capable he noted, the hitman had to be tiped because Frank knew his father Leo would never make a mistaken in this line of work. That mistake was noted to learn from, to never end up hunted. To promise to his father that revenge will be seeked, to be the hunter , to hunt down the unremorseful person behind this family murder.
The funeral arrangements had been made and the next days were normal and that's what was wrong, no one will help find the culprit. The fury and pain were Franks motive to finding the truth. His visit to the caprioney family had no knowledge and had never had the heart to set a hit on the abelli family especially the father Leo, they knew such a hit would cause horrific aftermath. Frank visited each head rival and known ally to his father with no results. This furiated Frank to the max and was unexpected , no result or reason as to why or who did this. He dialed his brothers line and regretted was was gonna be relayed….”Simon”, the tone was cracking, “who is this” he said. “it's Frank, listen , can't talk long meet me at grand central I'll be in the cafe 10 tomorrow, pop's got hit Simon, and I can't believe I'm making this call”. I need your …..the dial tone went dead. Frank knew his brother who not take this lightly at all and he may not live past 10 am tomorrow.

Simon Abelli , one of the most powerful and wealthiest man alive, known for his men's reputation of precision killing and no tolerance mindset when it comes to business and this is beyond the boundaries of the Abelli family name and what they live up to, Simon would have every mobsters head known to his father's death. His most high ranked worker was sent to read into it and to bring back the person responsible and whoever included to the pack.

The phone rang and read unknown number , …. “hello,” Simon answered , it's done, I got the money being wired, not a soul shall live”. The other side of the phone call confirmed the money transfer and the order was officially a closed deal. The funeral arrangements would be catastrophic. Simon had pondered on the actions sent out and the urge for his father's killers blood was a strong one that would be soon turned into a satisfying feeling one could not describe. More than a revenge taken. More than anything else in this world, nothing was more important to him than his father and the reputation that their family portrayed.

Frank abelli sat across the street from the cafe in his fully loaded Mercedes-Benz, he waited nervously as the clock read 9:03 , he knew his appearance at the cafe wouldn't go unnoticed, from the moment he walks in he knows his where snouts would be revealed to his brother by an unnoticed worker or customer occupying the cafe. People fight just to get noticed by the mafia and make irrational decisions to make a impression of what business they deal in. The mafia alone is complex and misinterpreted in many ways let alone. The Abelli family however, is one of advantages and manipulate strategically in order to follow through there objectives and orders to make the statement that the Abelli family will not tolerate the ignorance of others and will always act in any way to get there point across. Not the family to cross and one that is feared and respected by many.
Upon entering the cafe he noticed not a single customer is present which is not a good sign, behind the counter had his brain thinking his eyes were playing tricks. There lied his big brother behind the counter preparing product. It makes sense the cafe is empty with his appearance that was made. Simon was always the older brother who has to make the statement to Frank, statement turn to jealousy and never will make sense as to why sibling rivalry has ever existed, it just has. To build the younger generation is to advance but it has to be done in process of lessons taught and discipline of each other.

Simon, placed two mugs on the counter and said “long time little brother”. The tone behind his voice is one of certain and discreet that can be taken as negative quick. “take a seat, I'll be right there”. , the suspense has Frankie on edge for many reasons and his worry was how could Simon be so calm with everything happening. Upon waiting, Frank thought to himself how everything has lead to this moment. Simon approached where Frank was seated and placed the drinks down on the coffee table designated for their spot. “I own this cafe as you can see, it's been very successful and consistent”. “I asked all staff to take a break, so we could discuss in private”. “more less Frank we know why we are here,we understand what has been done and what needs to be done in result in seeking the person responsible for father”. Simon stopped at the mention of his father, he thought back even the words “father” sounded so foreign coming from him. There was so much involved and multiple scenarios on the line that the fear of death was present. Alot of people were going to lose their lives and the people targeted could have other innocent lives involved who are clueless, everyday, living people in the society that is now endangered. Frank knew it would come down to this is, the repercussions of his father would be brutal. Simon whispered to his brother, stood and looked at his brother with a look of remorse for the years of abuse to one another. Both knew that the time of revenge is near and wanted more than anything else. “arrivederci”. They said to one another, the funeral arrangements had been made and the environment became heavy as they both realized that the deadliest parts of their life were about to be exposed and a whole new Abelli family was now underway.

Chapter 5: The amount of paperwork was tremendous as Det.O’Donnell entered his office, each file represented a life, a person with a family that seeks an answer on why their loved ones are no longer in their life and the biggest, and most complex part is the reason. There is a purpose for the actions people do, the purpose behind the lives that were taken is the ultimate question. O’Donnell seeks the motive behind the mad-men and the purpose of their reckless decisions. Hours of investigation and dead end results and no progress is aggravation that the people responsible are hiding in hope of not being revealed. After reviewing the recent bombing cases, a possible lead of a witness to the scene is found. O’Donnell feels good about this lead in hopes that something can surface, but only hope with combination of faith to turn this cold case into a closed case. So much is at stake and revenge of these horrible tragedy events will soon take hold.
Captain Ortega calls a meeting with all homicide division to the conference room, “we have a situation people, we have multiple cases of mass bombings and mass killing, we have no solid leads. This can't happen, we can't let this one slip out the fingers of the department, we must pull together and put all we have into this.carry out all lead, double check details and go over all scenarios”. Ortega had disgust written all overcharged face. “O’Donnell and Martinez , you two will partner on the mass bombings cases, we have a conference today at 3 to release a answer to the press about the status of this situation.” “I need answers people, now get to work and catch these b******s!” Ortega’s voice and tone was a firm grip that this situation is different than any before and has the whole department on edge leaving emotion and stress shooting out the roof. Ortega dismisses the meeting and the detectives go back to their desk and offices. To reveal the monster behind these tragedies would take all effort and immense amount of investigation.

O’Donnell takes the lead witness and has a root found on the person of complete history. Upon searching the database Det.Martinez appears around the corner heading toward O’Donnell, he thought to himself, how could he be so lost on cases a partner was required, was he getting worse at his job, could life be tougher with more obstacles to come. As Martinez arrives at the edge of O’Donnell’s desk, the phone rings, perfect time he thought cutting Martinez off …. “O'Donnell speaking …” …”We got a situation, get your a*s down here you need to see this, ST.Peter university female dorm.” “10-4, on my way” Det.O’Donnell gulped hard and stared nervously at Martinez that stood in front of his desk, “I can almost bet that was a call” Martinez smirked. “you drive, women's dormitory of the private university.” they rushed out and quickly pursued the call hoping they could catch a break.

Arriving on scene followed 3 homicide vans along with 9 patrol cars blocking media from entering the campus grounds. When O'Donnell and Martinez arrive, being filled in on what took place was suddenly a disaster on their hands. “the men came in wearing all black… Witness and cameras caught the men last night and 2 vans with 4 men each, they came in literally as thieves and kidnapped 7 women”. Names are presented until the last one is revealed, Stephanie O’Donnell , what the detective was told sent shock and pain straight away as he stood in disbelief. The media caught wind of the information and blasted the situation live as reporters arrive rapidly on the side of the building, the environment quickly is is overwhelming with questioning, O’Donnell quick runs for the dormitory and is at the entrance of his daughter's dorm room in no time, he stands in awe and confusion. As he enters he noticed no sign of distress or struggle and sees the photo of one his daughter as a child with himself and his now deceased wife. Grabbing the frame, he starts to break down knowing that now he has officially lost everything, pain swallows and slices deep as if someone has physically ripped his heart out his chest.

The news broadcast over every station, alerts and car check stops on main highways and exits with nothing resulting but a couple similar vehicle descriptions. As if trying to find a needle in a haystack. As the search continues for the young adult college girls, the people hold their children a little tighter knowing a man is brave enough to take another soul of this world. The reasoning behind this disgusting act of violence still remains and can only hope to be revealed in time for the sake of the lives at stake and the love ones to suffer.
