Little By Little, Day By Day

Inspired upon a quote that I'm sure was said before I did, this poem was made. To me this means progress can only be seen "little by little, day by day." (1/17/2018) To: My Love

Little by little, day by day,

This is the way I want to date you.

Never rushing, always preserving.

Love in my mind is made for two.

Slowly swaying with tender touch.

Twirling you round so calm and tranquil.

Souls flow through the depth of the night,

Zeal towards your heart I feverishly feel.

Gradually learning of each other's past,

It is easy to hasten a harsh outlook.

Regardless of the unchangeable facts,

I see no wrong doings in my book.

Whether it’s in the past or present,

I will vow to make things right.

Protect you when your back’s against the wall,

And even when we fight.

Till death do us part, we’ll be together.

To this I wholeheartedly pray,

That we may share Faith, Hope, and Love,

Little by little, day by day.

Author's Note

As it should be noted, this poem is made with my girlfriend in mind. It is personal to me and shares the outlook of hopefulness for the relationship. I referred to a few parts of the bible verse 1 Corinthians 13:4-13. Also, it should be noted that I precisely made each stanza 27 words long as 27 plays an important roll in my life as well as the reason to there being 5 stanzas. Enjoy :)
