I want what the Earth wants.
The tug of the Moon.
The gaze of the Stars.
The scent of Comet tails.
The crash of Asteroids.
I want what the Earth wants.
To cool in a vacuum of expanse.
To rise and set
to a masterful timepiece.
I want what the Earth wants.
Being free of that which sears Her.
Free of the holes we bore in Her.
Free to orbit
Time, Himself.

This is a springboard poem for me. It's a novel idea which could be expanded upon in so many different ways. It's like a soft caress igniting a passion for more.
