Ship Of Hope

Ship Of Hope

A Poem by Nipplegrinder

My love endures on
A slipshadow wonder
Craves your next maneuver
Smiles when you stumble
Quietly triumphant
When you conquer
Your stutter steps alarm
but my prompts keep you stern
When my call comes distant, fades
When the One who shields you more than I
I will let you wander
I will let you feast
I am not your harbor
You are the Ship Of Hope

I have come to know love as neither possessive nor blind, but open.
