a humble petition

to stop darkness in WC

My mistake
it wasn't a sunny day in Texas
it wasn't a day for dreary fantasies

A war has started.
A war of words.
Knowingly, unknowingly swords have been raised
and arrows and bows installed.
But for what ?

Which war has been fought for a purpose?
Which war has not been futile?
But this war plans to take creativity as targets
and shoot right at the chest
Point blank.

As words can't stop,
territories does.
borders, patrol and military are installed.

We keep writing but we are famished souls.
I would miss the confluence of rivers
the union of ideas
the spring of novel distilled thoughts.
I would miss the fables
I would miss reality's bites.

I've heard of these things going on, but so far have not been directly involved, thank goodness. Nowadays, it seems that sniping, backstabbing, fussing and general dishonesty is "in", or that is what one would certainly conclude based on current TV programing. No wonder so many of us long for the days of yesteryear when neighbors got along and life was simpler.

I don't get it either. A few problem people to me...I have blocked. I exercise my right to freedom of association. Some actually spend time writing poems about people they dislike. I am amazed that someone would take precious time to snipe and write about hate instead of just dismiss and block.

"reality's bites" is such an interesting term. I liked this portrait of anarchy you painted in a world lacking writers, such a true image. Great write!

Some people just don't get it, then they never will either. But it's not me either to say what is wrong and right. People just live to start wars/fights. They won't rest until they think they have brought someone down. I don't get it. Why and over what? Who really knows, you know what it's kind of sad really. I like what you have wrote here.

I see your frustration, there are certainly disagreements on here about this and that, but I have to concur with the others, this site is to write, and that should be people's focus, it's mine anyways, there will be many issues here, but it's ultimately how you get over them that'll count!

Its a lovely poem but its not all that bad as it seems or maybe i am blind towards it but never forget your purpose of being on this site ..... too write and to be read that is all do not bother of what is going around u we as writers should be crazy too such an extent that although we are famished souls we crave to write and write till it makes an effect on others if not then never stop writing just keep on doing your job.

I do see it happen, however,I don't think it stop us from doing what we want to do : Writing. We won't give up this space just because some evils and bullys come and try to destroy our path. NO.
I once felt the pain, and wanted to fight back, but I give up, we shouldn't do the same to the evils but just ignore them, if they choose to stay like this, they pay.
