All For Everything

All For Everything

A Poem by OneAmongstMany

All For Everything

Even though the end may be near

Never feel this was for nothing.

The human comedy demands our devotion

And rarely pays it back

But that is no cause to despair

Or raise your flailing fists to the dying night

For we live through feeling

And through experience, good or bad.

Yes, I said the end may be near

But after each ending comes a new light

Lending its welcome glow to the distant horizon

Where those golden branches twist in the wind

And those fading echoes reverberate once again

Where those shimmering lakes lie still and inviting

And all is a reflection of the love you once gave

Waiting to welcome you home.

Welcome. A pleasure
The flow in this is silky smooth. Delicate and intelligent writing by well executed wisdom. You've got some nice lines in here and overall it's a strong piece. Thought provoking stuff. Great job
