Displayed Upon The Sun

Displayed Upon The Sun

A Poem by OneAmongstMany

Displayed Upon The Sun

Displayed upon the sun

This falsified fulfillment

An unseen dusk drifts on and on and into night

The clink and clatter lasts all evening

Raise a glass now with your heart clenched.

All the allure of the world

Once a stretched arm away from me

The warming sands of distant shores now beckon

Vagrants awed by the clattering thunderstorms

Slip your shoes around those aching toes.

Sweet scent of golden celebration

This misty lawn and feathered light

Rumbling clouds where the earth loathes to love itself

And gentle patter of nightly rainfall

His most apropos lullaby for the world-weary.

A moonlit jaunt, the night is warm

Their figures distinct through the pane

Hand in hand I see them bound across the stars

Black against the lightly navy skyscape

And an echoing laugh or a cry.

A powerful use of words and thoughts. I wanted to read and know more. I liked how you used the description. Making the reader believe every word. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Sick imagery and a flow that has a beat. Attention capturing with your style all over it. Nice job.

A romance and a dance. Words to a certain time and ryhthm. I like this one.
