Jamaican-Irish Delights

Something about the way of your lands,

Brings a smiling epidemic,

Infecting those you meet,

With golden-green humour and intrigue.

Working hard against the clock,

Leaving the shores to better your life.

Building up from scratch,

Carrying nothing but a name and your pride.

Are we drawn to each other by name?

Perhaps a love of a cheeky drink?

Or a parallel culture?

An attraction of sorts which should remain forever.

Grounds and people blessed with beauty,

A history rich of stories, songs and tales.

Sends a gift from time to time,

A reminder of the delights from these Islands.
