21st Century Rant

21st Century Rant

A Poem by Paza
"

What happens when all your stuff decides to go on strike at the same time?

"

The dishwasher’s gone on the fritz

The car in the drive joins the blitz

The A/C’s on the bubble

The internet’s in trouble

And I’m ready to blow it to bits.

I’m doing the dishes by hand

The mechanic, he wants half a grand

Texas is hotter than hell

The computer’s a shell

This is not the summer I planned.

I ask “what would grandmother do?”

To complain, she’d just ask “to who?”

But we’re not made of money

This isn’t half funny.

I think I’ll just cry “boo hoo!”

Hahaha! That was neat. ^^ It had some humor in it, yet it was too true. We're a little too attached to all this technology that our elders have never dreamed of... for love of God, their generation thought we'd have flying cars by now. :P

Anyways, yeah, this was great. :) When I really think about it, the message is pretty startling.

Oh man this was so funny but damn if it ain't the truth... the technology of today has made thing simpler yet also complicates things cause more can go wrong and when it does it's hard and ore expense to fix... such a cool poem.

loved it. sweet and true, a wonderfully witty and enjoyable piece.
a bit sad of an end, but the beautiful message you convey overpowers it, leaving a feeling of peace in its wake. great work.
