A House with Inner Light

A House with Inner Light

A Poem by Adam Light

A fear appears before me
as I traverse terrain.
In the wild, I've survived,
with the lightning and the rain.

From a distance, I keep an eye
on a house with inner light,
and imagine being dry
and sheltered from eternal night.

Thunder cracks, and I'm not sure
if loneliness can even end,
But I will walk towards my fear
and gift my soul to break or mend.

Nothing's got the same meaning
after years and years of rain,
but it's done some useful cleaning
with all those drops of pain.

Gee
This has religious overtones as if you have found the big fella upstairs and all is gonna be fine.
A nice rhyming piece.
