Opaque night

Opaque night

A Poem by B

Wonderment thrown to the sea of the oud
Kohl in absence minding a daze left intoxicated

Her content would stream from the driest chanting streak
Eyes surreal in shudders of emotion to desired endearments

Those hidden nights would seem hollow upon deflecting sands
If articulated words would lay next to gatherings of dawn

Telling the deep blue rays fairytales ridden by time
Stallions would flee in the distant stable of a flame

Fell to the calling the carpet set to nights remembered
Of all trials that stay lifted upon small parcels of sleep

Ideas would charmingly join hands in fond matrimony
Creating images of oceanic life often left behind

Lounging dunes embrace entwined yasmine scents
Evaporated water eluded forms of immensity

Touching a glisten of haunted feelings left torn
As bonfire wishes of an opaque night would rest

If all could be seen through it's memorial sleeve
As in clarity camping a distance in remains

How I love the peace of night, the gentleness that comes to life in your words. One can feel the movement of the sands, the stories, the wild stallions. These scents and sounds, how they cover the world in peace, and now desiring so much to see with the clarity of its soft starfires. Beautiful and moving.
