Secure in Christ

Secure in Christ

A Poem by Melinda McQueen
"

He is the peace that sets you free.

"

In defeat, in triumph,

In despair, in reflection.

Ever enough

To offer protection.

Though the heart aches,

The soul is light.

No matter the state,

It’s secure in Christ.

Though the earth shakes

And foundations are removed,

The might of His grace

Remains true.

He sustains the humble,

Placing hope in hearts to someday rise.

So, no matter the trouble,

You’re secure in Christ.

Though the darkness hangs

Between present day and yesteryear,

Let the heart give thanks,

For He is ever near.

The Lord hears through the storm

And has you in His eyes.

He keeps the soul, even when it is worn --

Secure in Christ.
