True HopeA Poem by Melinda McQueenTrue Hope
The longings of the heart Dwell in a safe place. An acute readiness even in the dark, Waiting to find grace.
When all else says it can’t be… When past attempts have failed… When the heart refuses to stop the seek… True Hope sustains the trail.
A dream within, A transformation in belief. A rustling in the spirit, A genuine release.
Desiring to be, It remains strong, Praying all will see. True Hope known the heart’s song.
It’s placed on the inside, So that when the heart grows weary, It ever resides. Always there to find.
A treasure to ever keep, A promise to bestow. For the Prince of Peace Is the True Hope. © 2017 Melinda McQueen |
