My Parents

My Parents

A Poem by QuietPoet
"

I'm always going to have their love.

"

My Parents

My parents were on vacation for 2 weeks

I’m going to miss having them around..

They were there when I woke up

And when I got home from work

We all have been going through so much

It seems out of us 4 kids

I’m the only one trying to keep us together..

Yesterday I fell asleep in their bed

Because I felt safe, like no one could get me…

My mom came in and laid next to me

She knows how tired I’ve been

She gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek

I needed that the most

My parents are my heroes

Without them, I would be out on the streets

I wouldn’t have a bed to sleep in

I’m not left to starve

And I have guaranteed love…

That is exactly what parent's are supposed to be. So glad you have them in your life. So many don't!
