Acid Rain

Acid Rain

A Poem by R.L. Davenport
"

Change

"
Destroy ourselves at free will
Free to express our hate and diminish our worth
We walk around all proud with bullet wounds and cuts
Drama and expression a lost cause for the wrong cause
Human condition to help those around that are in need
The ways of the present teaching us to watch you bleed
We're losing our ways but who am I to say
I just watched the abused and confused as I sang

The demons come from above and not so below
The flow and dissonance of the acid rain
Just like a flaming descending inoperable plane
When shall we come together rejoice and play
What will it take to watch the evil wither away
I presume the end of all is the only way
