Love In Summarizations

Love they asked me to summarize in ten words or less

Love I said can’t be explained like something to address

Instead hear me now and hear me good because of a story I will tell

Of a time I cared for a man that I knew not so well

He was so handsome in every way from his head down to his toes

He spoke so sweet like angles meet but all distance did was grow

I freely gave him all I had my heart and a silver spoon

He looked at me and opened his mouth to speak and all I did was swoon

Any time he called me my dear I did I ran straight to his side

That was a trick an empty pit that swells up deep inside

Every night when we’d lay down I would give myself to him

No hesitation no restraint sometimes the devil wins

And I had a feeling as YAH looked down he shook his head and frowned

Knowing now he had to tear us apart or relinquish his mighty crown

Something I knew not was of what time this mayhem would take place

Sooner rather than later we fell and with such disgrace

But having someone you love say that we should still be friends

Is almost as bad as your pet dying and someone saying keep it

The hole in my chest grew bigger consuming and smart

The vacancy it left where the old tenant was the heart

But when love moves out what moves in ?  I think I might now know

Misery always loves company especially when darkness puts on a show

Front row seats that’s what I took to watch what happened next

This ugly circus of tears and pain would always pay with checks

Memories the only reminder of where we once had been

I won’t continue writing this because my inks all out of pen.
