is it just me

is it just me

A Poem by Rain
"

I know the answer, it's written here everyday.

"
is it just me
who's afraid of clowns
who counts with his fingers
when there's no-one around
who can't drive in traffic
with the music up loud
who looks for the corner
in the midst of a crowd

is it just me
who likes being alone
sitting in the darkness
of an empty room
i stare for hours
into a star filled sky
and wonder how many others
searched just as i

am i the only one
to feel a broken heart
to think life was over
to feel torn apart
who swore to the heavens
to never love again
is it just me
who let love back in

is it just me
whose faith turned weak
with questions so many
to a god that doesn't speak
and does everything good
always seem to just fade
and am i all alone
in this lonely charade

does anyone else
feel what i feel
am i all alone
is any of this real

is it just me
who gets weary of it all
who walks in the rain
and asks... is this all
life is a gift
i know that it's true
why then do i question
is this the best god can do

we live a little
we laugh and we cry
we dance to the music
of our time you and i
this is our life
our time on the stage
this is our book
this is our page

am i all alone
in the things that i see
if we are all human
then the answer is no
it is not just me

Was searching around to see if there was something on your site I had missed and clicked on this one because of remembering its title and content. This is one of your best my friend. Counting on your fingers? Are we supposed to wait till no one is around? ROTFL Just wanted you to know that I had been here. Take care of you. Hugs, Lesa

NO IT IS NOT JUST YOU MY FRIEND! This one really touched my emotions this morning. This is so true for all of us for time to time and I seem right now to be spending my time. ROTFL

No, it's not just you.

I also count on my fingers ;-)

So many of us will be able to relate to it.
This is an exceptional write, one of those pieces that I want to save.

It's not just you. ;o Great poem! Very fun to read, I particularly enjoyed the part about listening to loud music in traffic... Haha, I'm always listening to something really awkward too. >.>;

Nope it's not just you...I only stopped counting with my fingers a little while ago...not sure why but I noticed I'd stopped...unless I only do it when I'm not noticing...and yeah that clowns thing...yeah...scary guys...ick

No, you are not alone! The clowns, sitting in the darkness, weakened faith, I can relate to all of those! This is such a wonderfully written poem, I just love it. Great job!

Wonderful piece, flawless rhyme scheme.
It contains a youthful wonderment about it, to question is only human, my friend.
Thank you for sharing.
