Breathe

Breathe

A Poem by Raya

Breathe in,
Now hold it
Listen to the world around you
When your life is on hold everyone else's is clear
And you can hear their breathing
Like winds blowing through a willow tree
In. Out. In. Out. In. Out.

Now breathe again
And notice each breath and it's movement through your body
Whistling through you like in a tunnel
Then swirling right back out

Life is the sound of breaths and the rhythm they keep
The colorless air inside you keeps moving like the hands of a clock
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
In. Out. In. Out.
I'm alive.

Nice poem Raya. Simple and eloquent. I however believe it is not the most original piece, which is definitely okay!

This poem is quite a a hypnotic potion of life, el viver. I have been looking for passionate poets for a long time , philosophical, metaphysical poets such as myself and i have only found a few.
This poem actually made me breathe. Lovely written
