RIBBONS

RIBBONS

A Poem by Rene Velez

Like colored ribbons
they travel behind,
flickers of merriment
grounded like sediment

moments chisled in,
remembrance filling in,
pieces of a collective,

we, sharing the same
experiences from
various view points,
some more prominent
than others,

brothers for a time
until we changed,
until things changed,
people change
nothing stays the same,

but
our experiences true
the memories we review
that internal thing
only time can sing.

Whew...that is so true, and you did a fabulous job relaying the message. There is nothing but perception at any given point, and the universe has stocked up infinitely on perceptive point of view. Experience being the key factor in which perspective we pull from that universal inventory. Splendid!
