Goodbye

a poem about losing someone dear.

It started with a message,
one too hard to understand,
the thought of never seeing you again I cannot stand.
You, the warmth of my heart and light in my dark passage.

Heart-wrenching, tears hard to stop.
hopes melting, i need a new resolve.
It was too soon,
i wish you were given more time.
Red became the colour of the moon,
my body and soul set afire.

Goodbye my special,
Goodbye my undying beloved.
i will wait to see you again,
i will wait for that day come sun and rain.
