The sands and of time stood still, on the beach of fantasyland, building our sandcastle, made of golden dust,
Little island girls, up to our knees and elbows, sand on cheeks, hands, and feet, Princesses creating a world of calm, within a stormy sea... Morphing into mystical mermaids, our bronze skin sparkles in liquid topaz, as the stars sprinkle stardust wishes, turning two starfish into two Princes, our Knights in shining armor kisses, waking Sleeping Beauty from her sleep… Years pass, like diamond dust, through the hour glass; our souls connecting, breathing one breath, our minds combined, surpassing each test, the sea of storms, we've absorbed and released, to bring forth a calm serenity...
Life offers small pleasures, dreams are within reach, where stars give more than wishes, “Come dream on our beach,” swim in the deep blue abyss, where our magical phantasm exists~
Robbie, this is more than just relatable. It demonstrates a connection between my world and the world in your past. The sun, the sandcastles, the sea. The only difference is that I wasn't a mermaid long ago. I thought I was a hermit crab:) A very refreshing write. I loved it.

What an enchanted, emotionally stunning confession; those glimpses of magic and mystery that still walk through the hallways of the mind. Perhaps, what we see in the cold day-to-day existence is really just a shadow... perhaps the magic is the real world beckoning us back to the time when we could almost see it... in our childhood. Hold tight this beautiful place forever, dear ones. xo

You really have a way of drawing the reader into the poetry. I loved that you included the reader even more directly in the last line, "Come dream on our beach".
A blessing to start the weak off... Thank you for this special memory.
An absolutely perfect memory, and one shared within this soaring collaboration... You two speak of past and present... lives moved on but still connected... How recollections are like worlds we walk through... never quite letting us go... and how imaginations leave marks as vivid as any remembrance of the "real" world. Beautiful and poignant, Robbie... :)
As having just come back from the beach I must say this poem is spot on I had so many childhood memories come back to me while enjoying the ocean once again like I did when I was a child. So no wonder the verse that stuck out the most for me was...
"The sands and of time stood still,
on the beach of fantasyland,
building our sandcastle,
made of golden dust,"
