What I (my pride) reinforces

What I (my pride) reinforces

A Poem by Rochelle Delaine
"

6/12/17 I feel this piece explains how I'm able to get a grasp on my strength. It explains how I react and deal with the things that affect me in this world.

"
I have pride in my ability to function and my ability to care.
It's more than an attitude that can be used to scare.
Proud that I'm not too confused of things that are there.
It's my pride that counts.
It might scare away things that appear.
Too high to just be arrogant
Too low to be just humble
I don't want to confuse pride or the time I spent.
It might be too nice to be poor but there's thought of the bad stuff that was compensated. Pride burst in tears for how long you have waited.
What becomes more explosive is the passion that you learn to make things more effective.
It's not now that I need it
It's not here that I prove that I want it.
And it's not there for you to play with or be used as something that is taunted.
