A Poem by George Rodrick

It became unbearable as time passed.
Seconds, minutes passed as I became Sad.
Laid in bed thinking about how to open up to her.
Lost in my own thoughts wondering how I became a sinner.
Was it my fault she caught me with a blunt? I thought.
I only needed a break from my own thoughts. Reality drives me nuts these days
All I just needed was something to help out.
As I laid there, My eyes blazing hot, Her Anger literally speaking to me
What would she say the next minute she calls for me?
My mind confused as even the "high" was gradually leaving me.
What do jobless unemployed men do?

"Laid in bed" Do you mean someone picked you up and placed you on the bed, or you got lucky?
