We wanted a fresh start

A new canvas for our art

To Turn over a new leaf

Instead we just repeat

We go down this road

same old same old

Knowing where the traps are

Still failing after coming this far

Love is for fools.

Very true my friend, each time we say will work into the better we seem to fall again into the same holes, if we are unable to grow with ourselves it won't work, also a relationship needs the two to grow and succeeded, not each one alone, needs both working along, Your poem speaks with a really gentle voice with yearning and soft sadness, still it reflects Your knowing and wisdom.
