Just You

Just You

A Poem by Rudie Rock

Trying to smother a flame and in the process burning myself alive.
I am to blame for putting the car into drive only to find the breaks are cut.
Never sure of what it takes to keep above the surface.
Falling steady not knowing where everything stands. Wondering down a foggy path reaching forward with trembling hands.
Wanting to take the journey and willing to fight myself the whole way. Struggling to find the right phrases, trying to honour the natural flow of the phases.
In. the end none of this matters because in a world of masked faces and I drawn to you.
Just you
