i cant write

i cant write

A Poem by Alicante lullaby

Jinx brought me back

third time to the same world,

me of all the over sleepers,

me of all the convenient dead.

I was really doing so well

feeding on broccoli and pills.

17 days and 12 hours of doing nothing

but talking and more talking

and the mind worms all gone to bed

and i learnt to cook/burn food for the first time.

I even swore at the top of my voice,

writing in my journel in upper case

''JAMES TILLY MATHEWS WAS REALLY MAD...

THERE IS NOTHING SUCH AS AN AIR LOOM MACHINE''...

but the jinx woke me up

third time to the same world

with a mind as bald as a neonate.

And if somehow i'd start writing now,

(for jinx can make you do things)

so if by any unexplicable phenomena

i'd start writing right now,

i'm afraid you'll come to know

that i have  nothing left to say.

(i can't write)

I beg to differ, most certainly you can. I admire how you grab things from mid air and make them belong. now THAT is really something.

When you are desperate for words. Go to the old timers of words. A Jonathon Swift, A Richard Crashaw or John Milton. They can awake the mind of a writer. Many more. The poet/music men and great writer will awake the pen. I listen to Leonard Cohen this morning. His words made me write three poems. Good luck and have fun.
