A Fishermans Tail

A Fishermans Tail

A Poem by 914

The lake was clear that day and the water was very still
The sun was out and it took off the early morning chill as there could be no-better day
I untangled my line and I put my best lure on for fishing was to be this day
Well, hours have passed and not even a nibble and I was about to call it a day
When a splash in the water was heard as I was so excited  and begin to sight  in  on my target and cast within range
Bubbles quickly started emerging  from the top of water as my fishing  rod begins to sway
A tug at my line as I started to begin pulling in real tight
All of a sudden Emerging from the waters was a beautiful sight
She had golden brown hair and a body none to compare too
Even a tan line that ran down to her derriere
So I reeled  in my catch and caught her bottom half
And I don't remember her ever getting out that sunny day on my behalf
I never did see her again just a memory to me, but I proudly display  her trunks
I have mounted on my wall
Of  a fisherman's tail that got away

Lol! I love this, very charming. I love that you used derrière. I don't recall ever reading that in a poem.
Works beautifully.
